CAVANI'S FORM GIVES PSG MORE CONFIDENCE

Unai Emery believes Edinson Cavani's match-winning double in Paris Saint-Germain's 2-0 defeat of Bordeaux will improve his team-mates' confidence in the Uruguay internal.

The Uruguayan broke the deadlock with a powerful header, then adding a second before the break with a beautiful flicked finish from Layvin Kurzawa's cross.

The France league one champions may have been unsteady so far this term in Ligue 1, but the 39-year old has not and Emery is certain the team's confidence will only continue to improve if he keeps up his strong start to the campaign.

"It's very important that he scores goals," Unai Emery told BeIN Sports. "It gives him confidence, and his partners' confidence in him comes back when he scores. They think together, and that's good."

The coach also retained words for Hatem Ben Arfa, who after a difficult start to season is starting to feature more regularly.

He impelled Ben Arfa to keep on working hard and harder if he is to get more than the 15 minutes he managed on Saturday, though.

"He came late into the game with a lot of motivation, and he played well for 15 minutes," the Spaniard said. "But it's hard for him because he must continue to work."

Paris Saint German due to the season's poor start sit four points behind the Nice who are first on the league 1 table with no loss recorded in eight matches followed by Monaco.

Edinson Cavani has scored three times in two appearances for his team this season, and his promising performance lately can guarantee him a steady and undoubted appearance for the league 1 champions. The Les Rouge-et-blue boss man, Emery has discovered how his form is rapidly increasing the team morale on and off the pitch and hopes it would get even better.
